Kofutu is definitely unique. It's not Reiki. It's a very old and ancient system that has trickled down the centuries, appearing from time to time when needed.

The last time it appeared was in the early 1970s when Frank Homan revceived its symbols and philosophy via mediation.

Kofutu is a spiritual system and you will be taught the difference betwen spiritual healing and psychic work. Psychic healings enforces your will onto a situation. This has consequences, such as altering the best course of action and you might pick up on some karmic debt there. Spiritual healing, on the other hand is letting the Source of the Universe do what it needs to do and go where it is needed. In this aspect, you are a conduit, much as in Reiki and allow this soul to lend a hand to this other soul. After all, you don't know everything enough to make the best choice. You can trust to be at the right time at the right moment, but it is important to stand well within the Light. Even with good intentions, our limited knowledge of life could make us take decision that could have undesired consequences. This is why spiritual healings are always directed by the highest source of the all, The Source of All Things, call it the Light, God or Life.

Kofutu works with scripts and meditation techniques. It also uses hand postisioning over certain energy parts of the body, in this regard similar to Reiki.

My personal experience with Kofutu is that it is a very serious system. Whereas Reiki is gentle, non-intrusive, Kofutu will stare at you and ask: "Do you really want to change this situation?", "Are you serious about healing?" When it gets a resounding yes, it works like no other system because deep down, it really depends on you.
