Coaching is NOT consulting.

Coaching is NOT therapy.

Coaching is NOT counseling.

Coaching is ALL about you!

So what is this thing I hear called coaching?

Coaching as we know it now has existed for almost two decades when the lines blurred between mentoring, advising, counseling, consulting, therapy. There was a need to clarified and define this new profession, which became known as "coaching". Through the hype of the last few years, coaching has been associatd with many professions, and to set the record once and for all, it is NOT counseling, nor mentoring, advising, consulting, nor therapy. Coaching is based on a well proven and tried a system that brings people to a greater sense of awareness about themselves and their current situation which leads to become more efficient at decision-making. Since they are able to better understand who they are, how they react in given situation and have a broader sense of their life, their decision are centred around who they are and need. By bringing people to a safe place where they can talk in complete confidentiality, they have a clearer sense of who they are and how they want to go forward. Coaching is about empowerment and recognition of success as well as accountability.

Having said all this, I came into coaching not knowing it was a legitimized profession, and soon realized I had been doing some aspect of it as a consultant. What coaching has done for me was to help me set forward my life long goals, working with people to tap their source and reach their deepest aspirations. I wanted to be there to help people better understand who they are and how they want to go forward achieving their success. As a business owner, coaching has been especially useful. I soon realized the importance of finding a professionally trained and accredited coach. I set out to do the same. As much as coaching has transformed my life, I know it will change yours.

Thus Tap The Source!

The reason why coaching is very popular these days is probably due to the fact people have very little time to think of themselves, find out who they truly are, not through the images they are bombarded with and actually pursue their life-long dreams. Chasing the nine to five dream and then rushing home to take care of the rest of your life, leaves very little time to refletc, ask the right questions to set you on your personal path. In fact, coaching has taken the world by storm and everyone has a coach, Madona, Tiger Woods, politicians and high profile people. But do they need to be coached in their specific fields? Not likely. Does Tiger Woods need a gold coach? Of course, not. But everyone needs someone to soneone ask the right thought-provoking question to hit it home and get you going. There is nothing sadder than a life led without true intent, reflection and purpose. Know Thyself!

A coach works with you by setting a safe place where you cantalk and finally see your true self. Once there, the fun part begins. You get to map out your own, personal dream-strategies and how to achieve them. There are many different types of coaching and finding the right relationship is crucial to success, as in everything in life.

People usually look for a coach when they are at a crossroad or feel lost and confused. Others look for a coach to work with to reach higher levels of success. Mostly, a coach is a neutral third party person who offers a safe environment for you to think things through, see the real picture, and above all, rediscover yourself so that you are better equipped at making the right decisions... yours. Once you have tapped into your true self, assessed your aspirations, you can then set your personal, custom-tailored strategy and how get you there. Once you are clearer as to who you are and how you best function and navigating through life, everything becomes easier. You can brainstorm, devise strategies and find what motivates you while having coach holding you up to it. Mostly, you can depend on your coach to be there for you, because after all, it is all about you.

I am a professionally trained Coach from CoachU and working closely with my mentor coach, Winston Conner, owner of Coaching Dynamics. I accomplished my CCP course with his company, where we worked intensively on the core fundamentals of coaching techniques while following the strict protociles of the International Coaching Federation, ICF. I am a member of the ICF and training for my ACC. I have also finished the first level training with CoachU. I have witnessed how being trained gives coaches a wealth of resources as well as a working knowledge to be there for our clients to reach their full potential. Having had certified coaches and mentor/coaches has deeply changed my life. Coaching frankly benefits anyone and everyone.

I specialize with dynamic people and small companies, as well as entrepreneurs and highly motivated individuals who need to understand themselves better and plan out their success in order to move forward.

What People Say About Me

"I think you have an incredible ability to create a safe environment for people to open up. This allows people to share their thoughts, concerns and ideas without judgment. You build trust and a sense of safety ... making it easy for people to disclose information and therefore you help others help themselves." Lanna

"When I started being coached with Nick in November 2007, I was miserable working the night shift at my job. The first thing Nick encouraged me to do was to write my dream list of what I wanted a year from now. Top of it was to have fun at my job, and now, almost a year later, I am working the day shift, I’m well-rested and able to enjoy my job. I increased the amount of money per hour I’m making. Nick helped me reach my goal of enjoying my job, and even more than that, he’s helping me position myself to move into my dream job.
Next, Nick helped me make steps toward another goal – marriage. When Nick first started coaching me I was in a great relationship with a great guy, but I wanted to start discussing marriage. Nick encouraged me to voice my dream to my boyfriend. It was great advice because it prompted us to start the journey to engagement, and just last weekend we completed our engaged encounter retreat sponsored by our church. We plan to announce our engagement in the next month.
That’s only two of the many goals that Nick has helped me reach this year. I really appreciate the non-judgmental way that Nick listens to my dreams. I feel like he really hears my wants and needs, and then he asks the right questions so that I’m actively developing my plan to reaching my goals." Donna

"I have had the great fortune of being coached regularly by Nick Zart over the last 10 months. Our coaching sessions have been set up as needed during that time frame and Nick Zart comes highly recommended as a business coach.
As soon as I began working with Nick, it did not take long to recognize his passion, compassion, knowledge and insights. He is a very intentional and skilled coach, the combination of which makes him an incredible asset to anyone who works with him.
One thing I value in Nick is his continual development as a coach. He is constantly engaged in furthering his coaching skills and being a client of his, I truly benefit from this since he is capable of moving me forward towards places that I used to find beyond my reach. Thank you for being such and outstanding coach who truly masters the skill sets of meeting the whole me through out the coaching process." Jeff

Hi Nick,

I just loved looking around in your blog. Your comments, on subjects vast and interesting, were great and if a person doesn’t get to know the “real” you from poking around in there, they’re missing the meaning of your perceptiveness. Keep it up. Love, Indra
