Wholistic, holistic, schmolistic...
The Personal Path,

Like most people, I rarely talk about my "secret" life, but nonetheless it is there and thriving. Like most people I am curious about life. Like most, I wonder what the heck is it we are supposed to do here. Like most people, I have come to my personal conclusions.

So I refer it to as to my wholistic side. That'[s how I found best to express it. The problem is as soon as you do that most people have already cataloged you as either a woowoo person or as a receptive "spiritual" person. The truth is neither, really. The truth is I am curious about life and its whys. So like many I look, I search and I find many interesting bits and pieces.

One distcintion I would like to make is the difference between religious and spiritual. Religious is believing in a higher power that gave birth to life. Religious means going to a church or a temple and being told by someone else what God, The Source of All Things, Life or whatever you would like to call it is. Being spiritual, on the contrary is more grounded in science. You make your own mind as to what life is. Being spiritual is as much embracing some Christian concepts, as well as Buddhists, Juadism, Islam, Philosophical, Pagan and whatever else speak to you. You are free to feel, sense and make sense out of your perceptions. Ultimately if God is omnipowerfull, omnipresent and omniscient, then what is it not?

So this is me. It's my way of saying, no, I am not a religious freak. No I am not a philosophical dry biscuit. No I am not a happy woowoo guy. I am just like anyone, a searcher aware of his own path making his way somewhere.

I am fond of a few methods I came into contact such as Reiki, Kofutu and Hermetics because they each had an important criteria I needed, they are not inclusive, non-instutionalized and free from dogma. Yes, you might think Reiki doesn't fit that discription but the Reiki I learned from its founder is very different from what is taugh in the west.

In Reiki, you are just there and you let life do its stuff. Same thing with Kofutu. With Hermetics I found a very ancient philosophy with no established disciples, no temples and no-nonsense. You are free from prejudice. And yes there are hermetic shools and groups but they can't represent anything more than a gathering of a certain amount of finite people.

I feel it is time to incorporate a certain spirituality in everyday life and especially in the way we conduct business. Businessmen who do very well at very high level have a formidable understanding of spirituality. For some it is conscious, for others not. Ultimately, what makes me tick is for me alone. What makes you tick is for you.

No wonder I became a Coach.
